Margaret Mullane MP held a productive meeting with Transport for London senior officials last week to press for improvements to bus services on a number of routes across Dagenham and Rainham.
Residents in the Chadwell Heath area of the Dagenham and Rainham constituency had contacted Margaret to support their campaign for the 86 bus to include Queen’s hospital on its route to its Romford station terminus.
Margaret had also been alerted to calls from Rainham residents for a bus service from Rainham village to Queen’s. The question of providing bus services into the London Riverside Business Improvement District in Rainham and how TfL bus services will link with the Beam Park station were raised by Margaret with officials.
Margaret said “This was a very useful meeting. The planned route for Superloop2 bus service to be introduced by the end of 2025 starts from Rainham, calling at Rainham station, then stopping at the Cherry Tree and Elm Park on its way to Queen’s hospital.
This is really positive news and I urge people to take part in the TfL consultation to make sure the route of Superloop2 buses includes the Rainham to Queen’s hospital link.
On the 86 bus route I am making arrangements for TfL to attend a meeting of the Chadwell Heath Residents Association.”
