Kellogg’s Breakfast Club 2025 Grant Applications Open

I am pleased to announce the first-round grant applications for 2025 open today, and I invite all local schools in Dagenham and Rainham constituency, who have a breakfast club, to apply via this link: Kellogg's Breakfast Club programme

The Kellogg’s Breakfast Club programme plays an important role to tackle food insecurity across the UK, supporting families in need through school breakfast clubs, foodbank partnerships and community projects. Our pilot scheme, Money Matters, for instance, puts benefits advisors directly into schools in Greater Manchester to help parents access the support they are eligible for.

Kellogg’s has been supporting school breakfast clubs since 1998 and has provided over £6 million of support across the country. The growth and success of these clubs is a testament to the benefits they bring including attendance, attainment, alleviating hunger and providing pre-school care.

Successful schools receive a cash grant of £1,000 to help fund their breakfast club and can choose how best to use the funding to provide the greatest impact for their kids. Grants have previously been used to invest in training, food, crockery, cutlery, and games.  We are committed to helping those most in need, and our funding criteria is based on the number of children at the school who are in receipt of Pupil Premium (35% or more) or from the 10% most deprived postcodes.

In 2024, Kellogg’s provided 850 Breakfast Club grants which helped support almost 60,000 children and their families. In 2025, Kellogg’s will be awarding 1,000 grants, reaching 70,000 children. This year we will deliver two rounds of Breakfast Club grants, with the second round expected to open in September.
