Updates to Postal Vote Application
From 31 October 2023, voters will be required to provide their National Insurance number.
Voters will be required to reapply for postal votes every three years. Existing postal voters won’t automatically need to re-apply.
The changes will take place on a phased basis over the next 2-3 years, and existing postal voters will be contacted by their Electoral Registration Officer when they need to re-apply.
